Times have changed since LYDIA opened its doors in 1916, but our commitment to serving children and families in need remains as strong as ever. We provide a diverse range of programs, from residential treatment to foster care, counseling to parenting classes, and many offerings in between. As a Christian organization, we extend the truth of scripture and God’s love to people of all religious, racial and economic backgrounds.
LYDIA is based in Chicago, with four other locations in the United States as well as an international program. Most of our services are supported entirely by private contributions, and volunteers play a vital role in keeping our ministry strong.
