    Vacation Bible School 2010

Singing and praising God.Our very first Vacation Bible School program was held this year.   Five churches partnered together to make this event possible.  Our theme was "There is only one true God!" which we presented with a fun Wild West flavor.   A team of 6 Americans came to help the folks in Marseille reach out to the neighborhood kids with the love of the "the one true God."   Yahoo!

Acting out the BIble lesson.Cowboy hats, music, skits, bandanas, crafts, Bible lessons, a puppet show, games, snacks,  and a humorous video showing the story of a  silly chipmunk who desperately wanted to learn how to become a real cowboy were all part of the week's fun activities.  Everyone learned the memory Bible verse in three languages, French, Spanish, and English by learning a song that a gifted musician wrote just for us.  "But the Lord is the true God, the living God, the eternal King."   Jeremiah 10:10.

Making bracelets. The most exciting part of the week was when nine children accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  Since that day there have been significant changes in each of their faces as well as in their behavior. One boy that had been somewhat of a trouble-maker at clubs has now become like a police officer maintaining order among the children.  He can no longer tolerate misbehavior in the group so it is not unusual to hear him say "Hey, everyone needs to listen right now!  This is very important!"

He is absolutely right.  Knowing that God loves each of us and that He gave His son to die on the cross for our sins is the most important thing anyone can hear.   It is our privilege to tell it to these precious souls in Marseille, France.
