For close to 100 years, LYDIA Home Association has been making a difference in the lives of Chicago children and families who are dealing with everything from homelessness and poverty to abuse and neglect. LYDIA has a residential treatment center that’s home to 40 kids, plus non-traditional high schools, foster care program and much more. A movement of families giving hope to children and parents in crises. Safe Families for Children expands the community safety net by providing parents in crises with mentoring relationships and tangible support in times of crises. Volunteer families, prompted, solely by compassion, open their homes to children allowing parents to work out their problems without worry about losing parental custody. Serving the Greater Indy area as well as 10+ surrounding counties as well as Northwest Indiana.
