LYDIA is participating in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), which is an annual fundraising drive that provides an opportunity for federal civilian, postal, and military employees to donate to local, national, and international non-profit organizations. The mission of the CFC, which was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 campaigns located throughout the country and internationally.
The vast majority of federal employee donations to non-profit organizations through the Chicago Area CFC are made through payroll deduction. The Chicago Area CFC begins receiving payroll deductions in January of each year for pledges made during the preceding campaign. LYDIA’s charity code # is 94984.
